Dr. Daniel Woodsworth

I grew up in Vancouver and all my training has been at UBC. After completing my undergraduate degree in Physics, I worked at the Genome Sciences Centre on genome assembly algorithms, before returning to UBC and entering the MD/PhD program. My research focused on developing cellular therapeutic delivery systems, and this work included both computational biophysical modelling as well as building a proof-of-concept cellular delivery system. After finishing the program, I matched to Internal Medicine Residency at UBC. During my residency, I took a leave of absence to work as a resident in Queensland, Australia for a year. I am now back at UBC finishing my last few months of residency and looking forward to starting my critical care fellowship. Outside of work, I love spending time in the outdoors, mountain biking, skiing and climbing. I also am diligent about spending too much money on coffee.
