Dr. Peter M. Dodek

Peter Dodek has worked as a clinician and scientist in the UBC Division of Critical Care Medicine since 1984.  His research interests have included neutrophil-endothelial cell interactions in the lung, role of the bronchial circulation in lung injury, patient safety, family satisfaction in critical care, and wellness in critical care personnel.  He was the Division Head at St. Paul’s Hospital from 1995-2003.  After retirement, he continues to mentor junior investigators locally and around the world, and volunteers for several quality improvement and educational organizations related to critical care in low and middle income countries.
