Dr. Marnie Wilson

Dr. Wilson is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of British Columbia, with appointments in the Divisions of Critical Care Medicine and General Internal Medicine. She is an attending physician and clinician scientist whose research focuses on post–intensive care outcomes, including adverse drug events and post–intensive care syndrome (PICS). Her work centers on understanding recovery trajectories following critical illness and developing strategies to help patients and families navigate life beyond the ICU.

She completed her medical degree and MSc at McGill University, followed by residency training in Internal Medicine. She then pursued fellowships in General Internal Medicine and Intensive Care Medicine at UBC and holds a Master of Public Health from Harvard University.

Dr. Wilson is leading the development of a post-ICU follow-up clinic at Vancouver General Hospital, which will integrate clinical care and research to better characterize patient outcomes and identify approaches to optimize recovery. Her goal is to bridge the gap between acute critical care and long-term recovery, ultimately improving quality of life for ICU survivors.
